Doctor Who: Time Fracture

Working under the team at Illusion Design and Construct, my experience here saw me practice and refine a number of my skills. These skills are:
Carpentry: Working with a fully fledged carpentry team with industry standard kit, space and machines. This was beneficial for me as at the time my carpentry skills were formed from an enviroment with nowhere near the amount of technology and space, so being able to update my admitibly traditional woodworking ability to industry standard was fantastic. I worked mainly on flats and some decorative pieces, making sure to stick to the mantra of measuring twice and cutting once.
Scenic Art: Working with the artists allowed me to work on my texturing and finishing skills. I learnt a wide range of techniques and little bits of knowledge when it came to mixing paints and other substances to form a texture.
Metalwork: The engineers taught me how to correctly make metal frames and support to the accuracy of <1mm. This saw me learn the process of making these safe, strong builds from the very first stage of cutting the metal to the final weld cleans.
Other: Mantling and dismantling sets and steel frames, fixing up flats and installing set walls were other tasks I was given. The general work I found most interesting as it allowed the idea that everything
